Busbee Farms: A small family cattle farm in Alva, Florida.
Situated along Telegraph Creek.
Situated along Telegraph Creek.
We purchased this 39-acre farm after it sat untouched in the wake of Hurricane Irma, captivated by its 2,300 feet of Telegraph Creek frontage and the massive oaks draped in Spanish moss. In February 2020, we began the painstaking process of bringing this land back to the vibrant place we remembered seeing as kids from our school bus window. Working our regular jobs by day, we spent every weekend and holiday restoring its natural beauty.
Section by section, we cleared debris, tore down old outdoor structures, and rebuilt the fencing. We constructed a new Barndominium and patiently watched to see what the land would reveal. Just as our projects neared completion, Hurricane Ian hit our area. Once again, the cleanup began.
Through the months and years that followed, we poured our energy into healing the farm. We expanded our cattle herd, nurtured our animals, and slowly watched our property look better than ever. While we rarely made time for social media—preferring to focus on hands-on work and our visitors—something special happened. People kept coming. First-time guests quickly became regulars who constantly remarked on the beauty of the farm.
Watching visitors enjoy fishing from the creek bank, celebrate special moments, or simply take in the peaceful scenery made every drop of sweat worth it. That is why we decided to launch this website. We want to share our labor of love and begin taking appointments for smaller, curated gatherings. If you have been searching for an intimate outdoor venue where massive, moss-draped oaks meet 2,300 feet of tranquil creek waters, you’ve found it here at Busbee Farms.
Our property is more than just an event space, it is a labor of love. Following a dedicated, hands-on restoration journey through two major hurricanes, we have preserved a truly rare piece of Old Florida landscape. The crown jewel of the estate is our 2,300 linear feet of uninterrupted waterfront views along Telegraph Creek. Spanning nearly half a mile of navigable, oak-canopied shoreline, this sprawling water feature offers unparalleled privacy, breathtaking sunset vantage points, and a serene atmosphere that you and your guest will not forget..
